Amar Jyoti School situated at Domuhan, bodhgaya in the district of Gaya, Bihar, is a established in the year 2008. It is a catholic institution established arid administrated solely by the religious congregation of the missionary sisters of the queen of the apostles, a registered charitable society.
The congregation was founded to a German Jesuit priest rev. Fr. Antonios Maria bedewing who came to India as a missionary. On the one he had and immense love for the precious qualities spiritual wealth which Indians possessed and was drawn to Banaras for its spiritual significance. On the other hand he was moved by the existing condition of the time, the plight of children, youth and women. He saw education of the youth as one of the best means to uplift the people. Soon his idea was spread in Germany and attracted many flowers that came forward to dedicate their life to god and render service to other.He first follower came to India in 1927 and in accordance with his vision began to proclaim the compassionate love of god as manifested in Jesus through various activities such as.
The objective of the institution is education of the whole person. Hence right from the beginning it gear at an integral formation (character, intellectual, moral, spiritual, physical and social) of the young who in turn will build up our nation in justice and truth respecting the dignity of each individual person.
